Privacy

The First Cohort is a static publication. We do not run advertising trackers. If you subscribe to our newsletter, your email address is stored in our own database (Cloudflare D1) and used only to send you the newsletter; we send the mail through Resend, our delivery provider. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in every issue.

We keep our analytics light. When you click links in our emails we record the click pseudonymously (an unguessable per-issue code, never your address) to see which stories landed; that data expires automatically after about 90 days. On the website we count aggregate page views and where visitors arrive from. We set no advertising cookies, sell nothing, and store no personal profile.

Server logs from our hosting provider may record standard request metadata (IP, user agent) for security and performance. We do not sell reader data.
